H Scientific has been active in the marine industry since 1996. Over this period we have gained significant experience in simulation, autopilot and navigation technology.

Significant milestones have included:

  • The installation of the SPECTRE autopilot on BAE's Talisman M vehicle,
  • Licencing our heading autopilot algorithms and rate gyro datafusion algorithms to Raymarine Ltd for use on their high end autopilots in the leisure marine industry,
  • Testing the SPECTRE autopilot on a workclass ROV in the Gulf of Mexico, demonstrating dynamic positioning within a tight tolerance,
  • Installing the SPECTRE surface autopilot on an unmanned RHIB; currently SPECTRE is the only system approved for unmanned operation in UK coastal waters by the UK Maritime Coastguard Agency,
  • Development of IEC62065 ship model,which is used world-wide for testing track autopilots,
  • Supply of ShipSim 3 marine ship simulator to over 70% of the world's autopilot manufacturers.
