H Scientific Ltd's telemetry system offers a powerful and flexible solution for remote measurement applications.

Telemetry system for remote datalogging

Whether your measurements are carried out a few metres away or miles away, H Scientific's telemetry card provides the ideal solution. Data acquisition of digital, analogue, and serial inputs can be relayed back to the base station where they can be monitored and logged. Additionally and uniquely, analogue, digital and serial data can be output from the telemetry hardware allowing the user to control the instrumentation and associated equipment. Digital outputs include PWM format, used for controlling servo motors, and serial output allows the user to configure instrumentation with serial communications.

Measuring 90x96x25mm, the telemetry card utilises a proprietary serial communications format which combines excellent noise immunity with low bandwidth requirements. The system can be used with a wide range of communications, such as RS232/485 serial cables, radio modems, and satellite phones.

The user interface provides complete control over the telemetry system. The user can configure the inputs and outputs, monitor inputs and set outputs. Additionally, the serial communications allows the user to talk directly to a particular instrument. The telemetry front end software routines can be accessed from 3rd party software, so the configuration, monitoring and logging facilities can be accessed from within your own software.

A demonstration version of the front end software is available; this is a full version of the front end software plus a a simulation of the telemetry hardware. This allows the user to become familiarised with the software and also provides a development tool to use when integrating with 3rd party software.
